Difference Between Designing Online and Face-to-Face Workshops

In finishing off some readings on eLearning challenges and opportunities, I found some interesting material on the eLearning Nomad Blog as posted by Anouk Janssens-Bevernage.

Some of the blog post titles that caught my eye included:

• If you can’t package the knowledge, then don’t package your courses.

• Can we develop e-learning that respects adult learning principles?

• Earn the privilege to train your learners

• Are learning objectives really that important?

• Are you designing training or professional development?

The last blog post from this list referenced another interesting post provided by Cathy Moore, entitled: Is Training Really the Answer? Ask the Flowchart. Cathy provides an engaging video presentation on this topic.

And in reading through Anouk's post on Let's Put the Brakes on Testing, reference is made to evaluating training with the use of Brinkerhoff's method rather than Kirpatrick's.
